The Hunter College Libraries & CUNY subscribe to excellent sources of information not available for free on the Web. Consult with the librarians at your college or university library or the librarians at the New York Public Library at 42nd Street and 5th Avenue. This would afford you permission to visit the Hunter College Libraries on a limited basis and would confer on-site reading privileges only. The library does however sometimes grant access to those researchers whose libraries are members of the Metropolitan New York Library Council (METRO) and whose research needs cannot be met elsewhere. This arrangement does not extend to other SUNY campuses. We have a reciprocity arrangement only with Empire State College students and faculty, who must show valid ID from that institution. Due to limited resources, we cannot accommodate Hunter College alumni, students and faculty from other universities and colleges, and members of the public.
